(Pes United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 16. The Agricultural Department has received a cablegram stating that the Federal Government has reimposed the duty on wheat, brain, straw, sharps, pollard, hay, and chaff. GISBORNE, November 16. The ratepayers to-day, by a 2 to 1 majority, authorised loans totalling £93,C00, as follow:—Waterworks and sewerage, £50,000; tramways, £30,000; electric extensions. £10,000; acquisition of the Domain, £3000. The polling was fairly heavy.
