FIRST GRADE. Cabisbkook v. Grange. These teams met on the North Ground. The wicket was in good order, but cut up towards the end. Grange, batting first, scored 182 for seven wickets, and declared their innings closed. Eckhold, M'Mullan, and Conradi were the principal scorers. Carisbrook began poorly; but Watson and Siedeberg made a useful stand, and when the former -was dismissed Rutherford and his captain had a serviceable partnership. St. Kilda v. Dunedin. The St. Kilda-Dunedin match was played at Culling Park, and resulted in a win for the "former by 61 runs. William Kerr (34) and A. Edwards (33) were the top scorers for their side, the latter batsman notching a 6. Hardie (46 not out), who batted with confidence right through, made the best showing for Dunedin, though Brydeii was also shaping very well, when he was given out to a catch the wickets. Albion met on the North Ground, and the match resulted in a somewhat easy win inr the first-named, the Albion players making a poor showing against the bowling of Eckhoff and Casey. High School made 180 (M'Naught 102, Harraway 24, Ixx;khart 17, Cameron 12), Thorn taking four wickets. Christian Brothers replied with 55 (Fogarty 12. L'Estrango 10 not out), Lockhart taking five wickets for 28 runs.

A very enjoyable game was played on the Caledonian Ground between Dunedin and Grange, on a perfect wicket. Grange scored 203 (Becby 56, Grant 30, Munro 30, Bennet 22, Wrighfc 16 not out, Forrester 15, Ogg 12). Dunedin mnde 118 (M'Farlane 36, Wilkie 27, Thompson 13, Quest 13). For the winners Wright took four wickets for 30 runs, and Crosbie three for 28, while M'Farlane and Wycherley bowled well for the losers. In the match Mornington v. St. Kilda, at Mornington, St. Kilda, batting first, made 116 (Barron 43, Jones 33 not out, and King 14). Slhow took fivo wickets for 29 runs, and Hope two for 18. Mornington responded with 159 for four wickete (Caradus 99, Shadwell 40 not out, Hope 11). Edwards, who took three wickets, was St. Kilda's most successful bowler. THIRD GRADE. Albion defeated High School A at Opoho by 4 runs. Scores: Albion, 64 (Auld 19, Brown 13); School, 60 (Gray 24). For Albion Elliott, and for Slchool Gray and Jack were the best bowlers. LEAGUE MATCHES. Y.M.C.A. beat Post and Telegraph by 133 runs to 59. For Y.M.C.A. Lumley (30), Thomas (58), and J. T. Thomson (17 not out) batted best, and for Post and Telegraph Davidson compiled 17, • and Ross 14 runs. Bowling for Y.M.C.A. Thomati took six wickets for 21 runs, Morgan two for 14, and Tapper one for 15, while for Post and Telegraph M'Leod took six for 56, Davidson one for 14, and M'Namee one for 13. Shaddock's beat Tramways by 11 runs. Shaddock's put up 65 (Armit 10, Vivian 14, Hodge 24), and Tramways replied with 54 (Vivian 16, Richmond 13). For Shacklock's Hodge took four wickets for 22 runs, and Burt six for 26, and for Tramways Richmond took five for 26, Ferguson two for 22, and Hayden three for 8. Hillside converted a possible defeat on the first innings into a two innings' victory, thus scoring tnree points under the amendment to rules adopted at last annual meeting, the finish being an exciting one, as Hillside had to play against time. Hillside scored 40 (Jackson 10, Graham 23), and three for 40 (Graham 33 not out). Standard made 52 (Ellis 15, M'Fadgen 12, Ringrose 9), and 21 (Nelson 9). Bowling for Hillside Graham took four wickets for 22 runs, and five for 14, and Jackson took six for 27, and four for 7. For Standard Lax took eight for 19, and one, for 21, and Nelson took one for 7, and one for 15.

Railways beat Orokonui by 28 runs, scoring 134 (Finlayson 18, Black 19, Sutherland 27, Coatsworth 19, and F. Williams 22 not out, as against their opnoncnts' 106 (Sutherland 26, Bambery 37, and Beasley 13). Bowling for Railways Proctor took six wickets for 23 runs, Owen two for 26. and Sutherland two for 11. For Orokonui Dodde took two for 23, Sutherland two for 50, Connor three for 17, and Bambery two for 21.
