MILITARY HOSPITAL BURNT. - EXCITING SCENES. ALL PATIENTS ESCAPE. LONDON, October 5. The. military hospital at Plymouth has been burnt. The hospital was full of sick and wounded soldiers, and there were exciting scenes, but all escaped. FRENCH STEAMER SUNK. BY AUSTRIAN SUBMARINE. ' MARSEILLES, October 5. An Austrian submarine sank the French steamer Provincia off Cerigo, on the south coast of Greece. 'The crew have landed. PRISONERS OF WAR. PROPOSAL BY THE POPE. ' ' v ROME, October 5. (Received Oct. 6, at 5.5 p.m.) . The Pope has submitted a new proposal concerning prisoners. All the belligerents have accepted them, but the terms are kept secret.
