NAVAL CADETS DROWNED
CATASTROPHE AT PURFLEET. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 30. While 20 lads from the training ship Cornwall were Towing at Purfleet a squall drove a tug upon their rowing boat, which was cut in halves, and sank immediately. An officer and 16 boys were drowned, the current being too strong for even the most powerful swimmer.
