LONDON, March 21. The Peninsular and Oriental Company's mail steamers will not in future call at Plymouth. GERMAN DESTROYERS. CREWS HAVE TO BE FORCED ABOARD. LONDON, MaTch 21. A sailor on the destroyer which rammed the German submarine Ul2 says that the prisoners declared that when previously this submarine put into Kiel for Tepairs her crew had to be forced aboard Ul2 at the revolver's point. CARGOES FOR GERMANY. TWO STEAMERS SEIZED. LONDON, March 21. A Spanish ship, laden with iron ore bound for Germany, was captured off the Goodwins and brought to Jarrow. The American steamer Maricas, bound for Sweden, has been brought to Hull, on suspicion of her cargo being destined for Germany. \ GERMAN SEIZURES. DUTCH STEAMERS CAPTURED. AMSTERDAM, March 21. German warships seized. the Dutch steamer Zaanstrooan, laden with eggs, destined for London. She was taken to Zeebrugge. The Germans seized the Dutch steamer Bataivier, bound from Rotterdam to London, and have taken her to Zeebrugge. UNPRECEDENTED STEP. A DOUBLE-BARRELLED PROTEST. WASHINGTON, March 21. The Netherlands have communicated with Mr Bryan, informally outlining a protest addressed to France, describing their embargo on neutrals' commerce with Germany as an unprecedented step. ' VESSEL IDENTIFIED. THE CREW SAFE. LONDON, MaTch 22. (Received Mar. 22, at 9.5 p.m. The vessel torpedoed off Beachy Head was the Cartnoff, laden with coal from the Tyne to Genoa. She sank while a destroyer' was towing her to Newhaven. The crew are Safe. ANGER IN SHIPPING CIRCLES. AMSTERDAM, March 22. (Received Mar. 23, at 0.25 a.m.) The seizure by submarine U2B of the Duanstroom and Batavier has aroused consternation and anger in shipping- circles. Sixteen Belgians who were on board have been made prisoners. ATTACKED BY AEROPLANE. AMSTERDAM, March 22. (Received Mar. 23, at 0.25 a.m.) A German aeroplane threw two bombs at the Dutch steamer Zevenbergen in the North Sea, but missed.
