CHEESE EXPORTS

BLUFJF SHIPMENTS TO DATE. (Fkou Oob Owk Corbbsfcndent.) INVERCARGILL, February 22. The Pukaki took with her from Bluff 5974 crates of cheese for London. These will be transhipped to the Corinthic at Wellington. The following were the principal contributing factories: —Awarua, 70U crates; Dominion, 357; Gore, 110; Mataura, 500; Otautau, 110; Ryal Bush, 100; Toi Toi, 110, Woodlands, 160; Birchwood, 120; Edendalo, 800; • Island, 270; Merrivale, 100; Otamjta, 100; Seaward Downs, 180; Tuturau, 100; Wyndham, 150; Browne, 100; Glenham, 110; Kennington, 141; Orepuki, 100; Pukerau, 300; Thornbury, 167; Whiterig, 155. London ... .„ ... 45.350 45,455 47,106 West of England-. 5,932 6,544 6,271 Totals ... ~ ... 54,281 51,999 53,377 It will bo noticed that; the number of crates forwarded eo far this season :e less than for tho corresponding period for 19121913, but tho increased size of the chooses, of which there are two in each crate, more than compensates for the apparent shortage. Formerly a. 561b cheese was favoured, but in deference to London requirements an 801b cheeee is now being turned out. The weather has been cold during the past week or so, and this has caused tho dairy factory intakes to fall away. Feed, however, is plentiful, and stock are looking really well, so that a record season is confidently anticipated.
