. .«. . THE KOYAL COMMISSION. (From Ode Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON. September 28. The appointment of a Royal Commission to inquire into the circumstances of the Huntly mine explosion was approved at a meeting of the .Executive Council to-day. The commission consists of Mr F. J. Burgess (3.M. and warden at tho Thames), Mr J. Dowgray, of Westport (ex-president of the Federation of Labour and representative of the coal miners on the Mines Commission' of 1911), and Mr J. 0. Brown (manager of tho Wostport Coal Company's mine at Dennistbn). The commission will commence its sittings at Huntly, probably on Friday, when it ia intended to take the evidence of Professor Dixon, who will probably leave New Zealand next week
