_ FULLERS' PICTURES. A completely new programme of pictures will be spreened at the King's Theatre at 6.30 this evening, the "star" attraction being the K.B. Western drama "The Sub? stitute." The extraordinary resemblance to each other of, two ip.cn of entirely opposite characters is responsible for some very interesting and sensational incidents. The;, plot is cleverly worked out, and the story ' is convincing. Other pictures to be shown will include the dramas "The Country Girl" and "The Signal," the comedy dramas "Love's Old Dream" and "On the Steps," and "Two Men and a Mule." To-morrow the first of the war pictures will be screened showing the declaration of war in London and the 6tirring incidents that followed. HAYWARD'S PICTURES. " David Copperfield " was screened at the Octagon Theatre for thq last time on Saturday night. To-night the leading picture will be entitled " England's Menace," a particularly appropriate subject at the present juncture. Nefarious foreign methods are exposed, relative to a threatened invasion of England. The story is said to contain many striking and exciting scenes. The usual "Gaumont Graphic" and a number of other interesting pictures will complete the programme. The management announces that the orchestra will introduce " it's a Long Way To Tipperary," a song which has become famous by reason of -the •fact that it has gained a vast popularity with the English troops now fighting on the Continent. QUEEN'S THEATRE. A meritorious budget of new films is to be presented at the Queen's Theatre to-day. The outstanding picture is a production entitled " The Unwelcome Throne," which is reputed to unfold a' novel and interesting theme In addition the picture has the distinct tribute of having sent American picturedom crazy—so it must be good. Ihe picture was costly, and, being one of the "wild animal adventure" variety, it should earn a good meed of .patronage. The Keystone Company will be seen to advantage in one of its usual genuine comedy nlms entitled) "Our Country Cousins Besides a variety of pictures, one of a highly divert ing order named "Riding School of Officers should appoal PLAZA PICTURES. The new "all-star" programme to be shown at the Plaza to-day is one that will mako the new company a host of friends. The chief item is the fine military drama, "Lord Chumlev." Unlike most military productions, there are parts that move patrons to teors and- Darts that cause roars of laughter, and a strong, sympathetic vein permeates the story depicted. The brave Chumley's fignt against the injustice to his friend will be followed v.ith breathless, interest A comedy-one of the funniest here -rims through the whole programme. Patrons should find the new budget very entertaining. SKATING. The Brvdone Skating Rink closed down on .Saturday night after a successful season. The rink was well patronised at each of the three sessions on Saturday.
