(Pt» Ukimd Pbiss Absocutioh.) AUCKLAND, May 11. A well-organised demonstration in favour of the Biblerin-schools took place in the Town Hall to-night, about 3500 people participating. Addresses were delivered by prominent clergymen, including Bishop Averill, and the. proceedings were enthusiastic. It was decided to send a telegram to the Prime Minister conveying the expression of the desire of the meeting that- an opportunity be given for a referendum on the question of teaching the Bible in schools.
