Tho Australian bowlers arrived in Christchurch this morning after aeea journey from Dunedin, and mot four rinks selected to represent thp Gbristchurch Centre at the Conterbuiy Bowling Club's green. Mr J. A. Redpath (president of the Canterbury Chib) welcomed the visitors to lie greeu, and expressed the pleasure the club members felt in the fact that the Australians had been able to find time in their tour to make two visits to Christahurch, and to include tho Canterbury Green amongst tho*> on which ihey would meet New Zealand bowlers. There was a largo and representative attendance of Jocal bowlers, and hearty cheers were given for tho visitors at the conclusion of the presidential welcome. The Australians responded with one of their appropriate little part songs. The match resulted in Australia getting 94 points and the Christehurch Centre 97.
