DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE.

The business transacted on tho Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday was confined to one sale of investment stocks. Two sales were reported. Sellers of Kces Goldnelds declined to 4s 9d, but this line received no attention* from 'buyers. Biackwater Mines were placed on the market at £1 Ib, and Progress Mines at 12s 9d, but there were no buying offers made for either. The demand for Waihis cased to £2 lis, with fellers asking Is more. Waihi Grand ,1 unction had steady sellers at £1 7s and £1 7s Id, with buyers up to £1 6s 9d. A sale of Watchman scrip was reported at the linal call-over at' 2s lid. This line had inquiry earlier in the day at 2s 8-d, without sellers. In the' investment stock section National Banks were placed on tho market at £5 8s 6d and Bank of New Zeaknds at £12 4s, but no buyers were forthcoming. Insurance lines had linn inquiries at reoent prices. Union Steams (orcl.) -were for sale at £1 4s 9d, and preference shares at £1 Os 3d, with a buyer of tho latter at £1. Business was reported in the ordinary issuo at £1 ss. Westport Coals were disposed of at £1 10s 6d, the market closing with v further sellers at this price, and buyers ottering £1 10s 3d. Milburn Limes were in firm demand up to £1 lis 6d, with no sellers under £1 12s.
