(Received Feb. 19, at 10.5 p.m.) The Dublin Housing Committee's report shows that many of the worst evils are due to the neglect and abuse of existing legislation. Members of the corporation own tenements, some of which are unfit for human habitation, and improper rebates are allowed to tenement owners within and without the corporation. The maladministration of civic affairs is held to be largely responsible for the demoralising of the tenement owners and the depressing of wages.

The report states that the corporation as constituted is quite unfitted to- deal with housing. »
