THE LATE MR ALLAN STEVEN'S WILL.

Sin, —I 'lux sorry that before publishing some of tho bequests of tho lato Mr Allan Steven's will your reporter didi not first refer either to tho executors or to myself as their solicitor.

Tiie .particulars published (taken evidently from the court files) are misleading, as they infer immediate, instead of future, benefits after the happening of certain events named in the will.

My particular reason for regret is that Mr Allan Steven was one of those who sought to do his "alms in secret," and if it had been possible l>oth Jiis executors and myself would have been glad to respect his wishes, even in respect to benefactions under his will. —I am, etc.. John Wilkinson. Dunedin, February 19.
