BUSH FIRE IN VICTORIA

MELBOURNE, December 23,
The bush fire at Aspendale swept for miles along the foreshore at Port Phillip Bay, upon which stood some hundred houses, bungalows, and week-end camps. The damage is estimated at between £20,000 and £30,000, and is mostly covered by insurance.
(Received Dec. 24, at 0.55 a.m.) An official report states that 94 resi dences, irrespective of temporary structures, were destroyed by fires in 'the Aspendale district,
