MELBOURNE, December 23,

The bush fire at Aspendale swept for miles along the foreshore at Port Phillip Bay, upon which stood some hundred houses, bungalows, and week-end camps. The damage is estimated at between £20,000 and £30,000, and is mostly covered by insurance.
