INDISCREET OFFICERS

REPRIMAND BY PRESIDENT,

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, WASHINGTON, December 22.

President Wilson has issued a serious reprimand to the officers concerned in the Carabao incident, which satirised the Filipinos. He characterises the songs and sketches as the silly effervescence of childish wit, and unworthy of American officers. "If," says the President, "such is their idea of fun, what must- their .idea, of duty be?" It is understood that the court-martial will be dropped.
