SCHOOL VACATIONS.

LOVELL'S FLAT.

The annual concert in' connection with the break-up rnd presentation of prizes took place at the Coronation Hall, Lovell's Flar, o.n Friday. Although heavy rain fell in the earlier part of the day it steadied down before evening, and the hall was comfortably filled. The children, under the instruction of their teachers (Miss A. Anderson and Mr W. B, Appleby) had prepared a very fine programme, the junior pupils doing their pieces particularly well. The Chairman of the Committee (Mr J. Clark) made reference to the inspector's report', which, he said, was very creditable to both scholars and teachers. He also congratulated the Sunday school on its success at the last examination, and thought that while a great deal of credit was due to the Sunday school teachers the results also reflected back on the work done a.t tho day school. The prizes were then presented by Mils J. Clark, Mr J. Clark, and the Rev. A. Morton. Supper, which was supplied by the parents, was then handed round. The children were also presented with bags of lollies. Walker (Lower Division). Mr Bedford moved a hearty vote of thanks to the chairman and all - who had nes : sted in making tie concert so successful. MOMONA.' At the annual 'break-up of the Momona School tho children gave a concert of firstclass items, which liad been prepared by the teachers (Miss Easther and Mr Melville). Mr Amos distributed the prizes, and congratulated tho children and teachers on the progress the school had made during the year. Tho followintr is the prize-list: — Standard Vl.-Wm.
