Fat Sheep.—llss yarded—a short supply, and although there is never much mutton wanted during Christmas week (the demand then being mainly for lambs), there was a better demand than was expected. Prices were down about Is per head compared •with last week. Fat Lambs.—A big yarding, numbering 2280. Several of the butchers had purchased privately to make provision against a thort market, and the. consequence was that today's yarding tt - as much- in excess of die trade's requirements, Compared with lost week the yarding sold at an average reduction of 2s per head, while at times sales were very hard to effect.
