Messrs Scurr and Co. submitted to auction at their rooms yesterday section 21, block XV, Dunedin, containing 1 rood, and having a frontage to Moray place of 125 links, tpgether with a three-storey brick building, at present utilised by tlie Dunedin Technical School. Thore was a large atleundareo of prospective buyers and others interested. Bidding started at £2500, and competition was keen up to £3750, but as this figure was below tho vendor's reserve the property was withdrawn.
A cablegram from London states that silver is quoted at 25 -15-16 d per ounce.
