OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR.
The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand report:—We held our weekly sale on Saturday, when we offered to a full attendance of farmers, town carriers, contractors, etc., an entry of 35 horses of all classes. _ Consignments were forward from the Waimate, Merton, Otago Peninsula, Allanton, and West Ta,ieri districts, and pract:cally the whole of our entry changed hands under the hammer at prices that must have been highly satisfactory to both buyers and sellers. Bidding was keen throughout the sale. We quote: —Good young- draught mares, at. from £38 to £45; extra good Clydesdale marcs, suitable for stud purposes, £45 to 80gs: superior young draught geldings, fit for shaft and' lorry work, £38 to £48 : extra to £55; ordinary draught mares and geldings, at from £28 to £38; aged draughts, at from £10 to £20; good, strong, upstanding vanners, at from £26 to £33; heavy spring-carters, at from £20 to £27 10s; ordinary spring-carters, at from £15 to £20; upstanding buggy mares and geldings, from £16 to £25 hackneys and cob ponies, from £8 to £15.
