JACK JOHNSON IN A NEW ROLE.
A recent cablegram informs us that the newest kinema film is one of Jack Johnson in a particularly commonplace drama with two noted French pugilists. We do not think the film deserves censorship, except for the offence it gives good taste. A drama or even a melodrama can only be relieved of the sordid when it serves to brine out.the nobility in one of the principal characters, and Johnson's display of generosity is the veriest piffle imaginable. Wo wonld have- sooner seen him 1 hand his opponent a box of Red Cross Ointment, for it is the best remedy known for cuts, wounds, and abrasions and all akin disorders. All chemista and stores.
