(Received Sept, 2, at 0.45 a.m.) Albert Britton, aged 16 years, has been remanded on a charge of manslaughter arising out of the death of George Jones. He volunteered a statement that he and Jonea had been the best o,f friends since they were children They had been out shooting and on returning home they extracted, as they believed, all the cartridges from their guns. Jones pointed bis gun at Britton, and pulled the hammer in a lark, whereupon Britton did tlio same, but his gun went off, fatally injuring Jones.
