THE WEATHER
On Saturday morning the weather was cold and showery, but as the day advanced the conditions improved. The afternoon and night were dry, but a bitter wind prevailed. Tho weather was fine yesterday morning, but about 2 p.m. the conditions changed very suddenly, and for a time a violent galo rased, accompanied by heavy rain and hail. Fortunately this did not last long, and for the rest of the day. tho atmosphere'was clear but cold. (Fhom Oor Own Cobregpondents.) LAWRENCE, July 26. The weather during July has been very brok«n, attd the aggregato rainfall nmst be about a record for {he year. Farm work has 'been hindered, and the man on the land will have a busy time presently getting his groud in order for sowing. DIPTON, July 26. Yesterday's rainfall registered 51 points.
