WOOITON v. SIEVIER

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 25. • The Winning Post has applied to Mr Justice Darling to re-consider the question of costs in the Wootton-Sievier case. Mr Marshall Hall, K.C., stated that a juryman had written to the solicitors dissenting from Mr Justice Darling's action, which the Judge had prefaced by a statement that he believed he understood why the jury had not given heavier damages. When Mr Justice Darling was informed of the letter he gave the defence the addressee of the other jurymen, who also replied. • , Mr Justice Darling now declined to open the letters, and ho refused the application, but he stated that the defendants were at liberty to appeal.
