OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR.
The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association reports as follows:—There was rather a small entry of horses for our sale on Saturday last, only 28 being ottered. There was a good attendance of farmers and town buyers, and bidding was spirited tliroughout the sale. There were not many draughts forward, but practically the whole of this portion of tlife entry changed hands, There was a fairly good demand for good vanners and spring-carters, and these sold at late quotations. We offered a number of good harness horses and hackneys, and the majority of these brought satisfactory prices. Consignments for Saturday's salo came from Uoodwood, Taieri, and Taiaroa Heads. Good young draught mares sold at from £32 to '£38; extra good Clydesdale mares, suitable for stud purposes, £45 to £65; superior young draught geldings, fit for shaft and lorry work, £30 to £39; ordinary draught mares and geldings, at from £23 to £30; aged draughts, at from £8 to £15; good strong upstanding vanners, "at from £25 to £30; heavy springcarters at from £20 to £25; ordinary, at from £15 to £20; upstanding buggy mares and geldings, from £15 to £20; hackneys and ponies, from* £8 to £12.
