Reilly, Gill and Co., proprietors, advise during tho past week consignments havo cased. Supplies of apples coining forward are hardly sufficient to meet requirements. Sydney fruits arc in short supply, and realising extreme prices. Island oranges and bananas reached this market in 'fair condition, and realised values. Potatoes are easier, and our "market closes weak. Eggs have experienced a wonderful demand as high as Is 6d being secured during the week, and at the time of writing supplies are distinctly short of requirements. Our weekly sate of opossum skins, fat. etc., was ■well attended. One line of 262 opossum skins averaged the very satisfactory price of 5s 9d per skin. Poultry is in short supply, and all lots were cleared under keen competition. The following prices were secured by us for our consignors:—Rarotonga oranges and bananas reached us on Monday in fair condition, and bananas realised 13s per case, and & were secured for oranges, for prime fruit. Fruit in poor condition was sold at lower -values. Lonions, 12s 6d, 13s. Apples: Hobart Scarlets, 12s, 12s 6d; Stunners, 10s; French orabs, 9s 6d; stones, 86 6d; loeal apples, dessert, 2£d to 3jd; cooking, 2d to 2jd; inferior, 8s to 10s per cwt. Pears: Hobart's prime, 9s; local dea-eiis, 23d, 3d, 3jd; cooking, 2jd and per lb; inferior, lid per lb; jelly, Bs, Poorman oranges. 10s 6d. Mandarines, 15s to 17s. Paesions, lis. Pines, 10s 6d to 12s 6d. Melons. 5s 6d. Honey: 51b tins, 2s; 561b to 60'.b tine, 3jd to W per lb, according to quality; sections, prime, 6s 6d per dozen; pats, jib, 3s per dozen. Marrows, wanted.
