WAVE QUEEN PASSENGERS.
JUBILEE OF ARRIVAL.
The surviving passengers of the ship Wave Queen yesterday gathered together with their descendants and friends to celebrate the jubilee of the arrival of the ship, which Bailed'into Port Chalmers on July 22, 1863. A gallant Jittlc kind of less than a dozen they met, surrounded by a small circle of thoir descendants and friends, and talked in pleasant and checrful harmony of the days that have gone and of what fortwle and the passing of the years had brought to them. The proceedings roally started at noon, the old people meeting then, first to [ace the camera man, and then to chat together for a few hours. In the evening they met in the supper-room adjoining the hall, which was otherwise engaged. Mr W. 31. Christie (Oainaru) presided, and delivered an interesting speech, as also did Mr lirownlic. A number of songs and musical selections were rendered during the evening, and a liberal supper was served. Mrs J loath presided at the piano, which it is interesting to note was the first piano made in Dunedin. It was shown in the Dunedin Exhibition of 1865, anil was afterwards presented to the association. Muster W. Jack contributed a couple of violin solos. Following is the list of surviving passengers who were present:-Mrs C. Samson, Messrs W. C. Christie (Oamarit) G. Brownlie, John M'Kav, R. M. M'Kay (Windham), Jas. Fnrquharson, J. Bartv (Balclut'ia), A. Fulton, and Robert Jack. The latter was purser on tho Wave Queen during lior journey out,
