A deputation of representatives of the country racing olubs -waited on Mr Massey today and urged that tho paramtß taken away from the country ctebs as a result of the Racing Commission should be restored. At the conforenco of representatives of the country racing clubs, held last night, and at which the decision to approach Parliament on tho above matters was arrived at, proceedings at the outset grew somewhat, heated, and five delegates left the room. , The Gaming Act Amendment Bill, the object of which is to obtain a restoration of permits to those country clubs that have lost them, was approved.
