Daily Times Office, Saturday morning. There are very few alterations to record in the local merchandise market fchie week. A small parcel of Akaroa walnuts has arrived in Dunedin, and is quoted at 8d per lb net. Supplies are in limited compass. ■ Egyptians tenths aro now costing considerably more to land. Tho present quotation is 23s per cwt, with a firm market. The milling price for factory cured bacon is lOjd to Ud per lb. Private cablegrams received in Melbourne report a steady market for tapiocas in Singapore. Peppers, however, show a fractional decrease. Cream of tartar is cabled firm in Europe, one of the leading manufactareis having withdrawn all quotations. A quiot, steady business is progressing in the principal classes of Mildura fruits (jays the Melbourne' Argus). The declaration of prices for muscatels is awaited by the trade, though the quantity packed is small. The 1912 season muscatels which were carried over are in excellent condition, the moist season tending to reduce the development of sugar. , The London tea statistics for the 11 months from July 1, 1912, to May 31, 1913, as summarised by Messrs George White and Co., show total imports 335,022,0001b, against 304,650,0001b for the corresponding period of tho 1911-12 season; and deliveries 319,975,0001b, against 298,036,0001b. Stocks on May 31 wo 80,123,0001b, against 71,666.0001b on May 31, 1912.
