WELLINGTON, July 18. The Country Racing Clubs' Executive to-night decided to wait on the Primo Minister and ask the' Government for assistance in passing the Gaming Act Amendment Bib, and to urge a cnange in tiie law 60 th-:.t a. racing tax shaJl be levied Oil the amount put through the totalisator and on the annual profits oi each club only, and not by means of a 2{ per cent, tax on the gross revenue.
