.'SIR JAMES MILLS INTERVIEWED. (Fboit Our Own Correspondent.) « • -WELLINGTON, March 7. ;.-,k settled calm has now succeeded the agitation in maritime circles which was caused by the dispute between tho Union Company and its marine engineers. The agreement arrived at on Thursday has not vet been registered, bat it will bo shortly. Tho parties are at present engaged in dealing with {.he formal details loading up to registration. Sir James Mills was interviewed knlay, but declined to supplement what has been already said about the agreement. When asked whether the concessions to tho engineers would have any effect in the immedfate. future upon fares ami freights he said that ho had not yet had time to consider the mate. Nothing has yet been done in connection with the demands of tho coastwise engineers for better wages and conditions. "
