The master of tlie Golden Bed dredgo reports that ho has put in a number of new buckets and lengthened tho elevator to enable the dredge to work the deep ground. Operations were resumed yesterday. A wash-up on tho Waikaia dredge yesterday produced a return of Boz for 132 hours' work.
On the Sandy Point dredge repairs were being effected to the screen, tho main tumbler, and the silt tumbler from Monday until Thursday, when operations were resumed at 7 o'clock.
A Press Association telegram from Auckland states that Airing the pad; month the New Sylvia. Gold Mining Company treated 840 tons of' ore for a return of bullion valued! at £932. Concentrates yielded £175, making a total of £1107.
DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE.
Investment stocks were again active on 'Change yesterday, and a fairly largo number of sales were recorded and reported. A parcel of Union Steams changcd hands at ±12 9s, and sales were reported at £2 8s 9d and £2 9s. The market closed slightly firmer tha/i on the previous day, with buyers at £2 83 9d and sellers asking 3(1 more. There was reported business in Bank of New Zealands at £11 6s, but prices were not quoted on 'Change. National Insurances were in demand at £2 ss, without sellers. A Bale was reported at £2 5s 9d. Mining and dredging stocks continued quiet, only one 6ale being reported. Waihis were quoted at £1 12s and £1 12s 6d, buyer and seller respectively. There was a reported sale at £1 12s 3d.
