(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 6. The City Council agreed to-night to increase the number of members from 15 to 18. This :s in view of the increasing amount of work an 4. the amalgamating of the districts as Greater Auckland. Mr Parr has consented to stand again for tho mayoralty. NAPIER, March 6. The ceremony of turning the first sod in connection with the 'installation of an electric tramway system was performed this afternoon by the Mayor (Mr J. Vigor Brown) in the presence of a goodly number of residents.
