CHRISTCHURCH, March 5. At tho Addington live stock market the entries of sheep were about tho same as last week. Stores wero again yarded in large, numbers, and in other departments there were average supplies. Store sheep again sold well, a further advance being 6hown in the better class of ewes and lambs. Fat lambs also advanced in price. As tho export buyers had rceumed their operations, now that the freezing works full handed again, fat sheep were easier. Fat cattle 6old a little better, but stores were dull of sale. Porkers wero firmer, and bacon pigs easier, Store Sheep.—The sale became slightly irregular towards the close. Fat Lambs.—For the first time since the slaughtermen's strike export buyers were operating and competing keenly. A further advance of 6d to Is per head upon the previous week's values took place, but the increased prices per head were mainly duo to the better quality of lamths offered. Best lambs mide 17s to 20s 6tl; and lighter, 14« Id to 16s 6d. These prices were equal to s|d per lb for standard weights, and 5d to s£d for over-weights and second quality. Fat Slhoep.—Tiie range of prices waa: Prime wethers, 18s to 22s . 6d; lighter, 16s 6d to 176 6d; prime ewes, 16s to 20s Id; medium, 13e 6d to 15s 6d; aged and light, IDs 7d to 13s. Fat Cattlo.—A good clearance wa6 made at prices ranging from 22s 6d to 30s per 1001b, according to quality. Steers made £8 5s to £10 10s; extra, to £14 15s; heifere, £6 10s to £9 ss; and cows, £5 5s to £9 7s 6il; yearlings reailscd £1 12s; 15 to 18 months, to £2 17s 6d to £4- Is; two-year heifere, £4 5s to £4 15s (the latter being extra good); and dry cows, £3 4s to £5 12s 6d. Dairy cows made £5 to £11 ss. Fat Pigfl.—Choppers made 60s to 82s 6d; heavy baconers, 58s to 70s; lighter sorts, 18s to 55s—equal to 5d to Sid per lb.
