g Bro. D. C. Cameron (Chief Templar) presided over a large attendanoe of members of the Pioneer of Dunedin Led go on Tuesday evening in the lodge room, old Fire Brigndo Station. Bro. William Burrows (Lancashire, England) was received on clcaranco card, and heartily weloomed Reports were received on the annual'meeting of the Dunodin District Lodge, held recently . A vote of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the lato Sis. Thorn, who passed away recently. Several members spoke highly of tlra good work tho late sister had been enabled to accomplish for the order. Tho Absent and Sick Committees reported having been busy lately, and that soveral members couldl be expected back to tho lodge. Bro. Burrows convoyed fraternal greetings from several lodges ho Ixid visited on his trip out from England, and expressed the hopo that ho would bo able _to settle permanently in Dunedin. Tie item for the evening was tcmporauco readings harmony. A largo number of suitable readings wcro rendered, and were contribute*! by Sis. J. Clarkson, Sis. de Wasgandt, and Sis. Ferguson. Great satisfaction was expressed at tho absence of orimo at the rooonfc sittings of tho Supremo Court at InvercargiU.
