•HAMILTON, September 4. ;; In Hie Supreme Court to-day Ihc case wis continued in which a Native named KdhutaJii Tehiki was indicted for causing actual bodily harm to Percy Nicholson Warr at KUii-Kihi. A verdict of liot guilty was returned. W. Brewer, who failed to respond when his name was called nk the sittings on Monday to answer a charge of theft by means of a trick, and who was on remand on bail, was arrested near l'irongia at daylight this morning, ■■ September 5.
'At tlic Supreme Court to-day Victor' Cornelius Nareby, charged with the theft of moneys, was acquitted, tlic jury adding . a rider that accused left tho court without a slain on his character. Kenneth Moore, on a charge of the manslaughter , of a Maori in a prize-fight, was found not guilty and discharged. WANGANUI, September 4.' .
At the Supreme Court 10-day Gregson> a local grocer, sued Kcrnohan, another grocer, for £100 for alleged libel. A ver. diet for £5 was given. INVEHCARGILL, September 5. The Supremo Court sittings concluded 10-dav, judgment for defendant being given in the case Donald William Ross versus Charles Simon Ross, claim for a declaration of partnership in a business - formerly owned, by tlic deceased father of the parties. Plaintiff relied on an alleged verbal agreement with his father admit- ' lino him lo partnership, but his Honor held Hint- he had Wle<l to prove his case.
