(Received Sept,'s, at 11.15 p.m.) Mr 'fillet's motion suggesting drastic action in Tcforence to tho forms of arbitration and conciliation between the employers and workers of each trade opened a discussion on compulsory arbitration.
Messrs Harvy and Brace, M.P.'s, strongly opposed abandoning the strike woapon.
Mr Havclock Wilson announced his conversion to arbitration sinco investigat ing the system in Australia and New Zealand. Jts introduction would bo greatly to' the advantage- of tho British worker. 11 o found Now-Zealand's judge a lilllo bit prejudiced, but the Australian judge had gained almost cvcrylxxly's confidence.
