Pirani has instructed his solicitors to demand from the Wnngunui Chronicle a full apology and the niune of tho writer of an article published in this morning's Chronicle, headed "ThcWanganui Education Board: Its Administration." in which strong accusations nro mndo against him. In the event of the request not being complied with a writ for £1000 dimages will be issued against the Chronicle. WELLINGTON, April 19. J. T>. Sicvwright.. printer, of Wellington, wb fined in the Magistrate's Court to-day 10s with costs (7s) for refusing to allow tho inspectors under the Factories Act to sco his wages and overtime hooks. Tho defendant alleged discourtesy on tlio part of tho inspectors.
