ATTITUDE EXPLAINED,

LONDON, June 30.

The Nationalist party in tho Houso of Commons held a meeting prior to the Coronation, at which Mr J. K. Redmond said that it would benefit the Home Rule cause in England if the party participated in the ceremonies, but the other members dissented, fearing that such recognition would havo a bad effect in Ireland. Thirty-threo favoured attending, and 29 disapproved.. Mr T. P, O'Connor emphasised the dangev that would follow any indications of cleavage. It was therefore resolved not to attend.
