Torgut Pasha, commander of the Turkish troops, denies tho stories of inhumanity that have been circulated, and dedans that he had treated the insurgents with the utmost leniency, hoping thereby to secure the return of their allegiance. At tho instance of Torgtit Pasha tho Ma.lis6ari have been allowed another fortnight in which to submit.
