MOTOR RELIABILITY TRIAL

The Otago Motor Cycle Club held its final reliability trial for the Hislop Cup yesterday, when tho dead heat between tivo competitors in tho recent trial to Nnseby was rim off. The course taken was irom tho l>unedin Railway Station to the top of tho Two Brothers Hill—a few mil«s oulsido Italmorston. The weather «-,is .ill that, could be desired, but the roads wero in a very loose condition on account of tihe dry weather. The competitors wore:— S. D. Law Eon, 3J h.p. ilumbcr; W. Young, 5 h.p. Norton; A. M'Dougall ( 5J h.p. Triumph; A. B. Ank>ll, Ik li.p. Triumph; an.;!' P. E. Bell, iji h.p. Triumph. Tho first rider was despatched at 8 a.m. ami tho rest followed at ono minute intervals. The first man to lonvo was due back at Diwirclin at 5.15 p.m. The checking nt tho Brothers ooiitrol was in the capable hands of Messrs L. Foirester and W. Chirk. Dγ Harrison and Mr J. Crisp managed the Palmorston control, whilo M<»3rs F. M'Donald and li. T. Tihorn officiated at Dunedin. The official results of the test cannot at present l>o ascertained, but so far as is known it appears likely that three, of the competitors will tie for first place. Some noncoinpcting members of tho chib also made the journey, and thoroughly eojoyod tho ran. They have nothing but praiso k r tho treatment received at tiio *Sre> Rrothere ocntrol.
