(Pee United Press Association.) WAIROA, March 22. A Maori girl, aged eight years, was drowned yesterday at Erasertown. The body has not been recovered. EEILDING, March 22. A distressing accident at Colyton last night resulted in the death of Mr Stephen Melvin, an old settler. Jir Melvin, who had had an engineering training, was experimenting with an acetylene gas plant made by himself out of a milk can and oil drum, when an explosion took placa. Terrible injuries were inflicted on his fac3 and he died half an hour later.
