The top price realised for the Hiku clip was 16 Id. The following were also sold : —Titi, top price Is, average 10-£ d; Te Apiti, top price lid, average 10£ d; WD, top price lCd, average 9|d.

Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantilo Agency Company is in receipt of tlio following cablegram from its London offico ' : regarding tho progress of tho second series of wool sales:—"As compared with last sales' closing rates, prices are about 5 to > % per cent, higher for greasy crossbred lambs; about 5 per cent, higher for crossbred scoured, coarso greasy crossbred, greasy morino, and fino groasy crcesbred; about par to 5 per cent, higher for merino scoured, medium greasy crossbrod, lambs, and crossbred slipe. Good general demand for wool, except for America." Tho Bank of New Zwland Las received tho following advices regarding the preedit sories of London-colonial wool sales in London:—"Tho market is strong, and prioes are unchanged for coarse crcesbreds, Tho market is strong, and prices are highor 5 per cent, to 7£ par oat. for strong, and, prices are highor 7-J to 10 per cent. - for all' kindti of lambs' wool, aleo halfbrod. Current prices for North Island farmer*' lots: Coarso crossbrode, 36/40's quality, averasp condition, 9d to Did per lb: medium cros»breds, 44/46's quality, average oonditim, 9Jd to lOi'd per lb; fino crossbreds, R7s quality, avenago condition, lßjJd to 1M per lb. Current prices for Soubh Island fanners' lots, Canterbury stylo:—inferior morino, common 60/64's quality, 9Jd to . lOd per lb; superior morino, super 00/64' a quality, 12J.d to 13£ d; half or qnarterbrcd 56's quality, average condition, 12id to per lb."
