At a meeting of the pombined Australasian Athletic Councils to arrange for sending a team to the Festival of Empire it -was stated that New. Zealand would bo represented. It is int-ended to ask (lie CiWerment for a subsidy. A letter from the "New Zealand Amateur Athletic i&ociation stated that Woodger would probably go to England an the Dominion's accredited representative.
The meeting made the following provisional appointments:—Sprints, Woodger (New 7*aland); half-mile and mile, Wheatley (Victoria) and Marden (New, South Wales); hurdles, P. Brown (Victoria), ill the event of'Davis (Victoria) not being available; swimming and bosing, Hardwick (New South WaJes); wrestling and cycling, Schneider (New South Wales.); tennis, Wilding (New Zealand).
