Coming nearer home, views were given of tho Waipori Works, with its Pclton wheel and powerful dynamos. ' Tho latest uses for the now power in manu- . factories and mines, aJid electrically-driven, locomotives were well'illustrated and fully explained. The last picture was that of a kitchen iir which tho cook; had electno power and heat to assist in performing domestic duties. At the ekeolof tho lecture a hfidrtv vote of thanks was awarded to Mr Lithgow. During tho evening Miss Black sang a solo, and 'tho Misses Burrows and Asliit contributed.a duct very ' tunefuly. Mr Aslin noted as lantermst very efficiently. The proceeds of the lecture will go towards the liquidation of tho debt on Wesley Hall.
