SPRAYING FRUIT TREES.

ASSISTING SMALL GROWERS. (Fbou Oub Owk Corbmpohdbxt.) WELLINGTON, August 30. Speaking in the House of Representatives to-day, the Han. T. Mackenzo (Minister of Agriculture) referred to the expense which periodical spraying involved m the case of small fruit growers. He said it could 'hardly be expected that every i small grower should' provide himself with a suitable spraying plant. He was at the present time considering the advisability of having spraying plants installed in various districts and ■ placed under the control of the inspectors belonging to the department. This remark was greeted with indications of approval.
