MADAME CALVE.

(Per United Piies3 Association.) AUCKLAND, August 30. Madame Calve made her final appearance in Auckland at Hi 6 Majesty's Theatre to-night. The famous canto-trice delighted a large audience* with Salome's well-known air " II est, il est doux," from the opera " Herod iadel"; Gounod's "An Printemps,"; Dhardelot's song "Visions"; and Offenbach's "B Vohe" and, with Signor Gnsparri, gave a duo from Gounod's "Faust," which ovoked a storm of enthusiasm. Madame Calve had magnificent receptions, and, in response to insistent demands for encores, sang " Cumin' through the rye," and tho famous "Habanera," from "Carmen." Signor Gasparri (the tenor) and M. Jacques Pint-el (the pianist) likewise'received ample evidence of the audience's appreciation. Madame Calve and her party leave tomorrow night for Wellington, where they will appear on Saturday. Thence they go to Christchurch and Dunedin,
