DEPUTATION TO BISHOP JULIUS. (Pis, United Press Association) GHRISTCHURCH, August 30. A deputation of members of St. Michael's Church waited on Bishop Julius to-day on matters relating to the ikw vicar" of St. Michael's, the Rev. H. Dai'win Burton. The conference was of a private nature, but it is understood that the principal.matter discussed was in reference to the Rev. Mr Burton's intention to wear vestments. Amongst some the signification of this was not understood, and the conference was sought in order to have some misconceptions cleared up. The feeling of the vestry was reported to be a very friendly one towards Mr Burton, and the. general desire is to givo him a very hearty, welcome on his arrival in a day or two.
