AUSTRALIA TAKES PREMIER r TLACE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, July 27. Dr Brown, Chief Inspector of Meat Supply, states that the Australians are the biggsst meat-eaters in the world. The past year's returns show that the average annua! consumption was two sheep per head of the population, one-fifth of a bullock, and one-iifth of a pig. The meat industry was in an unusually prosperous condition.
