The tide is tho highest on record. The ketch Venture broke from her moorings a.nd drifted on a. mudbank, where she' was safely anchored. Flooded rivers are expected, as there will be a high tide to-night. _ The Nelson flood has subsided. Considerable dtunago was done, principally to the Port road, Stoke, and the northern parts of Wood, including a wash-out of three-qii3.vt.ers ot a milo of railway nt Stoke. The rowing club's boat landing at Lukin's wharf is flooded 18in, also houses in Trafalgar street north and Wainui street. Water-is still lying in gardens without an outlet.
