Press Associatieu-By Telegrmph-Copyrijht, LONDON, February 11. •" During the Press 'Bill debate in the Legislative Council the Maharajah of Hurdalaii declared that, the educated minds of India were perplexed in.adopting measures against sedition when a member of the House of Commons and a loader'of the Labour party was allowed to say that the time had come for the Crown to go into the melting pot, The Maharajah insisted that Socialism ought not to be allowed to enter India. An attempt to have the bill made operative for only three years was defeated by 42 votes to 16. RETURN OF DEPORTEES. WELCOMED'BY EXTREMISTS. CALCUTTA, February 11. Some of the deported Bengalis who were released have arrived here. They were received by ajirocession to the singing of extremist songs and the shouting of "Bande, Mataram" (Hail, Mother!). The repatriated included Mitter, the editor of the Sanjibani, who was welcomed by Arabindo Ghose. PROOFS OF LOYALTY. A BETTER OUTLOOK. LONDON, February 11. Renter advises that the Government of India is entirely responsible for the release of the deported Bengalis. The decision is partly owing to the native communities having shown proof of loyalty in materially assisting in the passing of the Press Bill,-and partly to rte improved condition of the country,
